I have a few songs which I'm thinking about using for my music video;

The first song is Twist from Love Aaj Kaal


second is Marjaani from Billu Barbar

Influence

these clips have influenced me in my music video, they all have a lot of different aspect which i think is effective, I have also looked at the different camera angles, mise en scene which i would use in my music video.

This is a song form the film 'Aaja Nachle', this song is apart of the film however it has not narrative or concept and is purely a performance video.


this is a music video called 'Mashallah' this music video again is purely performance based, however music video is trying to advertise the film. the film is apart of the film 'ek tha tiger' however it was only used for advertising as the misc video was shown at the end of the film with when showing the credits


again this video is just a performance video, and is a part of the film 'Agneepath'



this is music video is in the film 'Ekk main auk ek u' this film starts off with a nattarive however this is due to the fact it was in a film, however a minute into the music video is becomes a performance video.


in this music video at the beginning the child is saying to the actor 'please do and 'item number' for out film Challar Party' (the term item number means a music video for promotion purposes) form them on the song is just a performance.

In Bollywood, most music videos are a part of a film therefore a music video the best way to attract people to watch the film as the music video is the USP of a film and also has been. This means that on the film posters an image from the music video is used. This not only promotes the film but also promotes the music video. There is a music video from the film ‘heroine’ directed by Madhur Bhandarkar. Here is the music video.

And here is the poster of the film with an image taken from the music video. It has a signature image from the music video which the star of the music video, when people look at this they will recognise the song.

 Another film is Band Baaja Baraat directed by Maneesh Sharma have followed the convention of Bollywood by having significant images from song on posters to promote the film and song.

I just spoke to my media teacher.. and I just asked if in my music video needs a narrative... He said its not neccassary for me to have a narrative therefore in my music I will not be having a narrative as most bollywood music videos don't have narrative. Therefore I be following the conventions of the bollywood
this has help meu alot and now I just need to choose a song and location

well as i am quite behind on work i have set the traget by next moday i have to complet my resreach tasks. as i have a day off tomorrow and then the weekend i have alot of time that i will be dedicating to my reachers. i will also be thinking about my idea for my music video.

 im still lost in what i should do, i dont have a song nor an idea nor locations. this week end i will come up with 3 different ideas that i could possiable do. i will then post on my blog what they are. then next weekend i will visit that place and take pictures..which is aprt of my planning... i still dont know what im going to do for my video
